Well never really got my question answerd (I GOT BASHED) about why my HKS BOV not letting me hit full boost!! and really not blowing off It came off a running car and worked fine It's the older style with the adjustment screw!!! And I did infact Recirculate it back like factory...

 

I can't tell from the pic why it's not working, but why would you even bother with that POS when your stock BOV is so damn good? It's like replacing your awesome IX turbo with an 03 turbo...a used one with a lot of miles.

NOW he praises the stock BOV. I do agree though, I think if it doesnt work out for you just replace it with the stock recirc valve.

 

Now? I've been a staunch supporter of the JDM MR DV since I first got mine a year and a half ago, unless you were referring to someone else in this thread.

You should use it, not sell it. There is no reason for you to use that POS old-style HKS BOV. Why would you sell an Evo BOV on an mx6 forum? You're a really strange cookie...

 

Put your oem valve back on to make sure that it is the SSQV giving you the problem. If it's the SSQV you mightjust need to make it tighter. It sounds like the valve is opening when you reach full throttle and that's you are not boosting. Similar thing happend to me with my OEM plastic valve in which it wouldnlt hold boost. Either way good luck

 

I did read somewhere that if the adjustment was screwed all the way in at one point it can puncture the diafram inside.

But it's recirculating, so it's no louder than my Forge RS combined with the Buschur intake (very loud blow-off), yet it doesn't work well and likely affects drivability.

 

No, you don't need to call them - you need to use your stock BOV!!!!

Why do you want to use that ugly, beat up piece of crap anyway? Is it just so you can say you have an HKS part on your car? I don't get it.

Speedracer gave you the most logical troubleshooting advice, but you should have done that stuff already before posting. Put on a different BOV (if you even can with that weird UICP setup) to ensure it's the HKS. If other BOVs do the same thing, then you know it's your setup. If only the HKS does it, then...well...maybe you'll listen to us for once.

 

come on warrtalon.... I wanna get that bov for cheap lol sell it online or ebay.. i give you 50 bucks...
