Hi guys! I'm new to the forums. I just bought a gg evo 9 a few weeks ago. I love it! I just wanted to get a few oppinions since I don't know to much about modding the car yet. What would you guys recommend as my first mod? If exhaust which one? I also need gauges and wanted opions on those also. Pics would be great! Thanks, Andrew

 

if you searched a little, you would know the best first mod would be a vent to atmosphere blow off valve and a turbo timer.

with the IX's it's exhaust and (most importantly) tune

 

Just do the following upgrades:
WORKS Flat Panel Air Filter
BOV - GFB, APS, Greddy, or HKS but Recirc.
DP - DownPipe
HFC (High Flow CAT) or Straight Pipe
Exhaust
Recommend getting a CF Heat Shield to prevent heat damage to rear bumper
Flash ECU
= 291+ WHP

 

I recommend the Warrtalon/Buschur package. Just get all of it at once for $1270 shipped and gain 60-70whp with no loss in drivability or reliability. Hard to beat it!

Please do not get a BOV as Evolution_MR suggested. I have no idea why he suggested that. Your stock BOV is one of the best on the market and is as good or better than all the ones he listed, each of which cost more than $200.
