Anyone have a how to for the tranny fluid?

I was doing some searching and nobody mentioned anything for swapping the gear oil in the Evos. Some mention specific volumes for each of the front tranny and the rear diff. I don't know a lot about the tranny's, someone also said the transfercase is something different and different oils?

In all my days of doing DSM work, I've only swapped the transmission gear oil as well as the rear diff. I always just fill it until it spills out. It would be great for more info! Also, what is the stock fluid exactly? I used to use synchromesh only, some people mentioned the GM oil being almost as good as well.

Thanks!

Lancershop does refer back to Evomoto's how-to's. This is exactly what I was looking for! It does not mention the rear Diff Fluid change.

Any reccommendations for tranfercase fluid other than the mitsu stuff? What would it be called if I were to look for it in a local auto parts store? I can find GM synchromesh and/or BG for my tranny, what about the transfercase fluids?

i recently replaed my clutch in my 6 mr with a cusco metal twin, and mito recomends straight 90 weight oil no multi ves oil .my dealer only had a gallon can witch cost 50 dollers. the transfer case only takes a 7/10 of a quart. it just wasent worth it, i went with amsol syn 75- 90 severe duty oil 18 dollars a quart only used a little more than 7-10 of a quart straight 90 syn oil is very hard to find i hope i dident make a mistake

It is highly recommended that you use the stock Mitsu OEM DiaQueen LSD oil in the transfer case and rear diff.

Will do, do you know how much the rear diff uses? I read the 0.58 for the transfercase.. just wondering how much I need to buy, will go to the dealership to get these fluids.

I don't know or care that much. I just put it in until it's full. It comes in a big can, so you will have more than you need.
