Sorry to ruin your numbers but I think your gas mileage is mediocre. I recently went to Phoenix and I drove 90% highway 10% street, I managed 298 miles with 13 galons and it was also hot and I was using the A/C all the time.

I think you should have any probles streching to 300 miles. I also did a Las Vegas trip last year from Tucson and did 300 miles.

Are you steeping in the gas a lot?

the best my car has seen was 215 on a full tank other than that, i average 200mi/tank on my 8

 

You do know you are supposed to run premium only right? 87 or 89 octane can cause detination or pinging which is very bad for your engine.

 

I drive in the city with TBE, drop in, tune, and I average around 200 miles per tank after filling up 12.3 gallons

 

wow i wish i could see 300 mi. i drive from GA to NC some times and while on hwy the whole time i see at my highest was 275. and that was with no AC on the whole ride. but then again i do step on the gas alot cause i have this problem with people that try and pass me. i dont ALLOW it!!!!!!!...........lol

 

I think my Evo8 with cams, TBE, and tune got more mpg than my stock Evo9. I will have to see how it is after modding the IX with more whp and tq.
