daily driving exhaust

I don't know if this is a stupid question or not. Does anyone daily drive with a test pipe in? I mean I realize it is illegal but is it ok to do it as long as you don't get a ticket? Do vendors say not to use a test pipe on the street only for legal purposes?

I believe its by state that determines if you have to have a cat on your exhaust. Most do. If your state doesn't regulate having a cat, it probably regulates sound pollution, probaly less than 95 db. Check your states webpage, they probably have a section for automotive laws. It would be under emissions most likely.

I daily drive with my RnR TBE with Testpipe. Never been pulled over or and questions asked. Some shops won't touch my car since it has a testpipe on it tho.

How much louder is the test pipe over a high flow cat? Lets say I don't drive wot everywhere I go, is a test pipe going to attract the authorities?

ABSOLUTELY A car with a testpipe sounds not even so much louder but harsher especially when you get on the throttle.

I have a full 3 in AMS exhaust with a HFC and even that gets loud.
