I bought a Evo IX RS a few weeks ago and am new to the Evo side of things. I am not new to imports, my last car was a Civic with a B-16 running 9psi on the stock motor that ran 13.4@108mph in the 1/4. I had raced and beaten plenty of Evo's most of them stock but, was even with an Evo with mods. I have plans for my Evo and that is not to lose to a Civic if I can help it. I am not here to bash Evo's or Civic's I am just trying to get the feel for a new platform to have fun with.
My sig is hyperlinked on purpose...
People have hit 11s with those mods using race gas. I didn't think there were any drag strips left in Hawaii. Btw, your Civic was already a 12-sec car regardless of altitude. You just never learned how to drive it or get traction it seems. I do 12.30 @ 108-109 here at 6000'.

I never had a problem driving, I just didn't want to use slicks and break my axels so I ran my 13in steelies. That car would spin 1st,2nd, and the beginningof third gear with an Integra LS tranny. I replaced the motor with a GSR swap and Edelbrock Intake and it pulled a lot harder I just never got a chance to run it at the track before I left New Mexico. I am sick of having to play catch up win I race I would rather be even or ahead you know.

the only way to get your car to maui from oahu is ship it down... i don't really know anyone on oahu but i know a bunch of guys who live on the west side of maui, and one of my good friends has a 03 red evo rs which is one of the fastest evo's in hawaii who ran 12.3's... he hasn't ran since but i know he's capable of running 11's
I was looking for somewhere to run I guess I will have to find my way over to that island. Hey Warrtalon I looked up that kit and was wondering was that with the stock intercooler, and intake?
Yes, stock FMIC and intake, neither of which are needed. It's just a basic stage 1 kit with TBE, MBC, Gauge+Pod, and Dynoflash - good for 60-70whp over stock, and the price includes shipping. Too easy...
