No, only break in for 500-600 miles with regular boosting up to, but not above, 5000rpm. Don't treat her nice - just don't flog her.

At 500-600 miles, then tear it up.

woot, this is how I've been breaking mine in...

See when I got my first Evo8 MR last year, I took it VERY easy for the first 1,000 miles (trust me it was hard). Since getting this 9 I've been doing much more of what Warrtalon just recommended.

I've done 3-4 WOT pulls, but not passed 5k rpm. And I will also do some just normal boosting around town, with some fairly agressive boosting (yet never past 5k) from time to time. I'm almost to 500 miles, I think im gunna take it to 550 before I do a nice big pull through the gears and really see how this 9 compares to the 8.

why do the stock guages suck so bad, why would you have oil temp and no oil pressure? i guess my first mod will be a nice guage setup and to move the radio to the bottom.

what exaust should i buy?

You can switch the gauges and radio quickly without having to buy anything. Yeah, oil pressure instead of voltage would have been nice, but oil temp is still very useful.

Please don't just randomly what exhaust you should buy. That's like asking what type of underwear you should buy. Hell if we know what you want and like - there's tons of choices.

I want quiet power and a near stock appearance. My goal is 400whp for now. Is there a list anywhere of the recomended way to get there on a budget.
