Opinions please - badge or no badge?

Okay, so I removed the US Lancer Evolution badging from my '04 RS since I did not exactly care for it...

I am contemplating whether or not to put the UK EVOLUTION VIII badge on there, and am looking for opinions.

I want to because I love how the UK badge looks, and I like how it explains what kind of car it is. At the same time, however, since the car is an RS, it is somewhat of a sleeper, and this may kinda kill that. I've got friends saying "put it on, it looks cool!" and other friends saying "don't put it on, it looks better without any badging at all..." so I'm kinda undecided.

The car is a white RS, nothing special looks-wise, but it's modified and tuned, so it's quite a bit quicker than stock. It's got Evo 7 tails, but that's about it for looks. Here's a quick shot:

Opinions please!...

-Trevor

I say keep it a sleeper.....I took the numbers off my '02 BMW 330Ci because I saw it done that way in Europe and I just liked the idea of making people wonder. I have also taken everything off the back of my MR. Your car looks great just as it is, IMO.

I think you have a win win situation...... looks hot the way it is.... but the badging is awesome too. I think the black badging would look really nice. So when it comes down to Awesome vs. Awesome... can't go wrong

Your car looks great as it is. Leave the huge badge for someone else.

RS is much better when it looks stealthy. I think just bling-bling doesn't go well with RS.
I had the UK badge on my car before, and Now it is gone. So, save that money and buy something else functional and look good. I would go with APR GT3 mirrors because most of evos are afraid of getting that in fear of losing auto control of the mirrors. No problem for RS owners!

Thanks for the replies...

It's certainly tough, because, as Gennie mentioned, it's somewhat of a win-win situation. One of the issues that's tough is the fact that there are people who know the car and people who don't. When people come see it approaching from behind and there's a big FMIC, they may recognize that it's not a slow car, so having a badge or not really won't make much of a difference in a lot of cases.

Sounds like the overall opinion is "leave it badgeless" which I very well may end up doing. Still not 100% decided yet, are there any RS owners out there who've gone to the dark side and decided the UK badge belongs there??

Hahah, I've had people say "omg I thought that was like a normal Lancer..." before. Amazing what being wingless can do huh?
