Stock Brembo Brakes on IX

Whats the proper procedure in breaking in or bedding in these brakes.
Picked up car yesterday and the brakes felt kinda weak? Especially for brembos?
Car only has 200 miles on it. Will these get stronger or are the stock IX brembo's really weak!?
Im hoping with more miles the brakes will WAKE UP.

Let me know what you guys think.

Pump the brake pedals a few times. The brakes get better warmed up. The initial "bite" doesn't feel strong, however when you get on it... it works =)

5-10 0-60mph stops then a cooling off period. The brakes are good, but to liven them up, just add some stainless lines, Motul brake fluid, and some better pads

you mean 60-0. but you should NEVER go to 0. they need to be 60-10mph stops. you never want the pads pressed against hot rotors, or the rotors will warp. so if you are at a red light, and you are in the process of preforming the break in, dont use your brakes or hand brake to stand at the light.

do a number of them, or until you really smell your brake pads burning. press the brake as hard as you can without activating the abs.

Evo's brakes are linear - the harder the pedal is pressed, the quicker the car stops. This allows for a high degree of control. Contrast this with most brakes, which bite very aggressively at first and then decrease their effectiveness at an increasing rate.

This is true. It is a weird feeling at first because it seems like they are not stopping you all that well. But to get full braking power from them you really do have to push them all the way down.

Ok, this is the proper way to bed-in your peds/rotors.

Go to a remote area where there is no traffic at all.
Pump your brakes about 5 or 7 times.
Get the car up to 60mph and genlty slow the car down (pressing 30% brake pedal) to about 5 or 10mph(Do not come to a complete stop!)
. Do this 3 times. This will bring the temp up on the rotors/pads.

Next, bring the car up to 60mph again and slow down the car to 5 or 10mph while pressing the brake pedal very firmly. Again, do not come to a complete stop!
Do this about 5-6times.

Final step is to drive the car for about 10-15 minutes without pressing on the brakes to cool down the pads/rotors. This is very important.
If you have to stop, try not to set your foot on the brake pedal or you WILL have uneven pad transfer, this is very bad for your brakes.
After the pads/rotors have been cooled for about 10-15min, you're all set to go.

It's fairly easy to do but hard to find a place where there is minimal traffic.
If you cant bring the car up to about 60mph, just bring the car up to 40mph and do more repeated slow downs (not complete stops).

Good luck.

As far as the brakes feeling weak. Mine did too. You won't notice how good the brakes are until you get brave with how much force you give the pedal. If you are timid with your foot, then you won't see the potential of the brakes. Don't try this til you have some more miles on the brake system though.

Try warming up your tires also. When the tires are cold the ABS kicks in immediately and it feels like the brakes are weak. Once they get hot and the road is sticky hit your brakes as hard as you can at like 80mph and feel the hand of GOD squeezing your rotors.

At low speeds, like below 40mph, the brakes do not really shine. Yes they stop your car but so can any other brake tire combination at that speed.

One time I was with my ex with her friends and they dont like it when I drive hard. I was going around 50 in an empty industrial area. I then heard an ambulance and knew it was going to cross me in the intersection. I slammed on the brakes and the car stopped on a dime. Of course they were all impressed at how quick it stopped.
