humor aside, its perfectly all right to wash it. just don't direct water spray from a hose into the hood vent or you'll have to spend all of your time detailing your engine bay.

Just a light rinse on the cooler is all u need.....just let it sit for awhile before u drive it it u are scared about water getting in your engine.....

go buy a 100 dollar Purina filter and weld it to you hose then feel safe to drench the car. hell you can even blast the interior clean!

So many people picking on guys with perfectly relevant questions ...

Your intercooler is completely sealed. Spraying it with water will not hurt anything.

Water under the hood is 99.99% fine. There are very rare occasions where water can cause arcs and such in electronics, but I'd assume Mitsubishi has protected most of the electronics since they put a hole in the hood.

Apply soap and spray water wherever you'd like while washing.
