6 speed tranys

sup guys, my name is Derek and i have a 2006 Evo MR and i have some questions and maybe some answers on the tranys. I have some issues with shifting from 1-2 and 2-3, at times it dosent want to go into gear or not smoothly. I have been searching for answers for the last 5 months and have only seen questions on the matter and that it may be the linkages in the shift assembly. I would really like some facts and answers. I am still very new to the 4G63 engine, i am use to old school muscle cars and big blocks but after reading and hearing so much about these car's capabilities i got me one. I want to do alot of mods but i am not very familiar with the cars layout, or what to do for best performance and mods. I woild appriciate any suggestions and answers. Hit me up my e-mail is dernav84@yahoo.com, pics of my ride will be posted soon.

one of the things you can do is adjust your pedal height. making the pedal higher will help disengage the clutch better. have you takin it to the dealer yet?

Hmmm... I've seen others comment about problems

with shifting. My experience thus far, is that my MR shifts absolutely flawlessly (much smoother and easier than my previous Audi). Mine only has about 1,700 miles. Each shift feels equally as smooth as the next. This is just my experience, hope you can get it worked out.

Regards.

have you been power shifting it like a muscle car cause if you have then I'm sure that has something to do with it.

DmanMR,

I had the same issues when my MR was new. Your tranny is too new and after the first tranny oil change it should be smoother but what really fixed my problems was changing from stock oil to GM shyncromesh.
