Well, I got it...

This morning at 11:30 at Veracom Mitsubishi. Another proud owner of an Evo IX GSR GG. The car is awesom, everything about it I love. Breaking it in right know, but I cal already feel the beast within wanting to come out. $28,559 + ttl. The car came with an aftermarket dealer-installed alarm that I told them I did not want it. They said that its was disabled and would only be enabled if I bought it. In the fiance office they then went over the options you can buy and the car alarm came up again, and I refused to buy it ($889 for it). having it bought for my previous car, Its worthless. By the way, the alarm I am talking about is the one where you stick this plastic key into this slot and it lets the car start. Long story short, I figured that I could take that key out which is what the dealer was trying to sell me and the alarm works. Free alarm.
I'll take pics tomorrow to show you guys what I am talking about.
Andrew

I got the price of mine reduced after the final negotiated price when they told me the dealer installed turbo timer was $799. It's the Apex Auto Timer that costs $90, so they were trying to charge over $700 for installation. I told them to take it out and they said they wouldn't sell the Evo without it. I started to leave and they took off $800 from the price I already talked them down to. Ended up paying $34K for a GSR/SSL... still felt like I could've gone cheaper, but they also gave me more money for my trade than it was worth without even seeing it.

Oh... congrats on the Evo too!!!

I am glad you were pleased with your purchase @ Veracom, thats a great price.

I am just curious why some have had issues with our Dealership. As an enthusiast myself far more than I am a sales consultant I would appreciate the comments.

I have had nothing but great experiences with my customers in the purchase of an Evolution and I would like to continue to do so. If anybody was ever interested in not getting the round-a-round (not even on price) just let me know I can help you guys and girls out.

Congrats and killer price, who was that guy that was saying prices are going to SKYROCKET due to no more ix's or whatever? But i am sure it is different at every dealer, congrats on the IX and keep the rubber side down. Later
