i just put on my perrin catback and i love it, it actually sounds like the hks hi-power carbon fiber exhaust, its drone has increased enough, i have a test pipe and down pipe im wondering how much louder it is going to get. is the increase from a dp and cat delete going to be worse than stock to catback. the cops around where i live love me already, and they havent even seen the catback yet. i know this is part of the deal but i just weant to know if i should just do it or not.

 

of coarse it will get louder.. no cat.... means less muffling of sounds.. and a bigger down pipe.. yeah it is going to get louder.

 

I don't understand what you want it to be... quiet or loud? Removing the cat will make it louder and draw more attention as well as make a bit more power.

 

... only gonna get louder.... and draw more attention from the smell, due to your lack of a CAT.

 

I have the perrin dp and the perrin cat delete.. first make sure u get an 02 bung extension along to fool the o2 sensor before u get a cel on ur dash..

a catback surely helps sound good but most definitely a cat delete and a dp will help much more to gain power.. u will notice a loud difference in noise yes but mostly under pressure, so u can go very light near your beloved blue cars and i doubt they'll notice..

finally, it's better u flash ecu when u go for full dp+catdel+tbe.... get a drop in hiflow filter as well and u're set: stage1 !! :-)

Your definitely going to be louder without your cat, and if you rev it a little bit, your going to smell it. I have the BR cat delet, and it is definitley louder and I can smell the exhaust with the windows down when I rev it a bit.
