Unhappy Brake noise

about 15-20% of the time when im backing up and when i break, i hear a squeaking noise, what could be causing that? if it were the break pads would it always be squeaking all the time i break? I asked someone at the dealership and they said this is normal but don't believe it, they said its because its still in the breaking in period, it currently has about 1300mi

Many cars do it. If it really bothers you try some different pads, with a different compound.

Totally normal. Really. If it only happens when you're backing up, you're lucky.
