I dont want the PSSHHT sound

Its about time for me to change out my Box Air Filter, and I've been thinking about getting the K&N Drop in filter. By just getting that, will it Amplify my IX MR DV? or will it still be as quite as it is stock?
Thanks

you mean you don't want the sound of a turbocharger spooling or you don't want the blowoff valve sound?

When I first picked up my evo, I was suprised how quiet it was. I had a DSM previously which was well modded before it was stolen. I can hear the slight whine of the turbo but thats it with the evo. The DSM on the other hand, sounded like a bus almost when the turbo was spooling up and the BOV was fairly loud even recirculated. Definitely takes some getting used to with the quietness of the new car, but I am enjoying it either way.

not true I have a 05 mr and got a arc induction box and the stock bov screems as it does with any cone or high intake kit.

So Yes the stocker will speak up if you go cone. Drop in should keep it quieter but still more anxious to speak.
