New Evo owner

What's up everyone...This past week I bought a new 06 Evo IX. I decided I had enough of my 99 Eclipse GS-T and wanted to move on to something I've wanted for a while.
I'm here to learn as much as I can about the Evo, so I look forward to talking to you all.

good job for buying a solid car. u will have no regrets i assure you. here's a brief path to get started on:

1) 3"catback or full turboback exhaust (depends on emissions testing in your area)
2) filter (stock airbox good upto 400whp)
3) boost gauge (that reads at least to 30psi)
4) manual boost controller (cheap & reliable)
5) ECU re-flash (to take advantage of the above items)
6) front subframe brace, rear strut bar, rear sway bar, rear end links (to erase about 80% of the understeer)
7) clutch*, SS clutch line (u will need 1 real soon if you drag race/road race regularly)
8) pill removal-boost line & clutch line (these free mods work well)
9) brake rotors/pads-only if u have a heavy foot
10) low temp thermostat (if u live in a hot climate)

EVOs cannot launch as hard as DSM's so u will have to relearn how to launch. u can use the stock 5500rpm rev limiter & then slip it like a bike. when u get a flash, u can raise the rev limiter to 6K rpm but be mindful as the driveline is the weak link in the car, hope these tips help. good luck...
