Winter Rims and Tires

Within the next couple months I need to switch over to some winter or at least all season tires. I had a set of Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S I thought were good and will probably get something like them again, but I am open to suggestions.

More importantly I don't want to run the stock MR BBS rims in the winter (salt, rocks, etc). What are some good, cool, relatively cheap rims that would work well?

I would like to know also. Living in colorado and driving with performane tires in the snow is not recommended. Well unless you like that type of thing

I had Hankook W300 snow tires and loved them. Cheap too.

I agree. Used VIII (or IX) rims are probably easiest for winter wheels. That's what I did, buying from a member of these boards.
