This a good gift for a friend?(with an evo)
I've never really been impressed with the injen intake/uicp. How about upper/lower pipes from AMS, Buschur or somewhere like that? Keep in mind he'll need a mini battery for some of these kits.
Are you his friend or enemy? Are you trying to slow his car down? Just kidding man.....sounds like you guys are really good friends. Wish I had a friend like you. If you heard him talk about it and thats what he wants then I say get it for him. Seem like a good deal too.

you can also get him a boost controller, turbo timer, front splitter, lowering springs (swifts), boost gauge. you can get a lot for that money.
