Unhappy No EVOs

Well, after a WRX and then a STi I'm kinda ready for a change. So I started test driving a few cars to get an idea of what I want. And their are no EVOs in the Baton Rouge, New Orleans area .
Of course they said they can get one for me if I want to buy one, but it would be nice to test drive one first.

Good luck trying to get a test drive. No dealer would let me, and I had cash in hand for the purchase. I had to drive my neighbors. Good luck with your search though. Don't let the distance discourage you, I bought a bike off a guy in Kentucy....I lived in Texas, he met me half way....supercool.

wow, that really sucks, what about a local AWD club? THeres gotta be one in there that would let you take one for a spin or at least drive you around in it... Honestly though, you will adore an Evo, I came from your background and you will really like it. Obviously, depending on your mods but I don't know a single person who went from an evo to scoob

just my .02

Depends on where you go i guess for test drives...I've never had any problems here in Raleigh or cary dealerships test driving the MR or the STi.

as long as you have a high credit score you should be fine.

and as a previous 05 STi owner I have to add that i love my MR. I like the way it feels, drives, and looks over my STi. not saying anything bad about the sTi cause i loved it...but i love the MR more.

I already drove a GTO, a mustang, and a 350z. Not one of the salespeople even asked me for my drivers liscence!
I guess I got an honest face.

When I bought my STi they let me test drive it after they did credit check and were filling out paperwork.

I'm tempted to try to buy one from South Coast, fly out there and drive it back. I don't think I'll get anywhere close to the deals they have out there. $29000 for a IX. Dealer here quoted me 32000. I don't know how far I could get them to come down if they have to order it for me.
It would only be about 1800mi drive back!

I was just suprised that the guy selling the gto didn't even ask if I had a lisence. RWD 400hp 400ftlb on 235s. Turned off the trac-control and lit them up through 3rd. If ever there was a car that needs more rubber, this is it. And a diet.
Of course 350 was by far the best car of the bunch. About as fast as the mustang and much more solid.
