that is a horrible looking filter.

only fitment issue on mine is the uicp hits what i think is the mivec towards the throttle body. but just barely.

Yep, that filter up top looks crazy retarded... if you want the bling, but usefullness too, then look into the hard pipe to stock airbox and a drop in... Works has done a great job with this.. They stand by it.. I helped my buddy install an INJEN CAI w/UICP and the filter crushed too.. GL

another problem i had with the injen, was the clamps they supplied SUCKED, me plus alot of other members on here will tell you the same thing, buy some aftermarket heavy duty clamps. after having one one of the stock ones pop off from the throttlebody at WOT at about 6 in the morning coming home from work. i was really pissed. and ended up buying about 3 or so heavy duty clamps from napa auto parts and since i put those clamps on i have not had any problems what so ever. as for fitment its pretty good fitment, no issues with mine, sound the sound is awsome you can hear the turbo spooling up, and suposedly after being flashed you gain a good amount of HP from it. im content with my injen intake and upper intercooler piping.

i used the stock clamps on mine, and it worked out fine. just gotta make sure you clean that bad boy off real good. clean all the area's where the coupler go on, as well as areas where the clamp is gonna be with some alchohol. Then spray the inside of the coupler with some aqua net hair spray and slide it on. Helps it stay much better. i love my injen too. My filter doesn't hit my hood, sounds nice, looks cool.

Re: Injen Intake

I like the injen intake and the Upper IC pipes. It took some time to install but fitment was great and I think everybody will agree the sound of the turbo and BOV are greatly enhanced. If you get the injen intake get a tune and you'll be great!

Used to have the Injen on my 03. Not a bad system but HKS RS is better. Then again, I would say stock airbox is better than the Injen. Make sure you get a tune...
