Hi guys i have a little problem I both love these cars. I guess everyone else would have the same problem if they are/were a true "car enthusiast". I have a hard time choosing between a modded used s4 or a new evo mr. Its like choosing an orange or an apple (one is German and the other is Jap.). Both great cars, so let me elaborate on the s4 a little. Here's a couple of pictures ::

^^ The s4 is a 2000 (B5) it has around 80,000 miles on it. New turbos replaced at 60,000 miles and a guesstimated 385-400hp due to mods. The car seems to be in excellent to mint condition. He only uses engine oil imported from Germany. MODS :: New stage 3 clutch + light flywheel, uppipes, diverter valves, 5 point seatbelts, ecode headlights + eye sheilds, new rs4 wide body and bumper(s) modification (metal no fiberglass); only s4 in the US with a rs4 steering wheel & shift knob, carbonfiber hood + trunk, koni coilovers, MFM chip, turbo timer, samco hose kit, under the hood is mostly chromed, last but not least intake. IM GOING TO OFFER BETWEEN 26 - 32 CASH (he found a new love in bikes).

Or ill go with the bad *** Evolution MR. The trouble that I am having is that both cars are AWD, TC, FREAKING BEAUTIFUL.

A used 80,000 mile S4 for ~30k???

 

yeah thats a bit on the highside when i used to go to auction theyd range from 18-20k for those cars sure theyre stock but they ahd way less miles

 

Are you serious? A new MR or a used S4 with 80K on it? That's a no brainer: MR in a heart beat.

The S4 is a nice luxury car, but it is not going to be a reliable car - check out the repair histories for S4s, and then add on top of that a modified one. Most Audi guys will admit as much if they are honest. Hop up parts are probably going to be MUCH more reasonably priced for an Evo than they are for an S4. The MR is a better handling car than the much heavier S4. I'd rather buy a new car and modify it to reflect my tastes than to be stuck with someone else's efforts. Like I said, the S4 sounds nice, but based on value alone I can't see going with the S4 over the MR.

that s4 is a nice build but i'd rather build my own car ya know do all of the work and be proud if it ya know so you can just be like , " ya .... i did that"

You guys were right, why deal with someone else's headaches. When you can go create your own . Well ima go use the "search" button regarding Water/Methanol Injection.
