Hey guys how u all doing?
lately i have this problem with the my evo9 there's a whislting sound that comes from the car every time I start it and i can only hear it from the inside of the car and it gets louder every time i start the AC
I got the car 5 month ago and there was nothing with it but when summer started the sound started with it .
I got nothing on the car it's not moded it's completly stock and the dealer here know nothing about it .
If anybody knows whats this whislting coming from please tell me is it becouse of the weather or the turbo or the AC ?

 

Does the evo have an airpump connected to an egr valve for emissions. If so maybe that is what you are hearing. You most likely didnt hear it in the winter because you had your windows up. You did say that you can not hear it inside the car. Does the sound go away about four or five seconds after the car has been started? My S2000 had an air pump and my neighbors vette has one so that is my guess. Also if your dealership knows nothing about it than I would pick another dealer to take it to.
