Talking Chalk up another for the Evo

Hey everyone! My name is Laura and if you couldn't tell by my very cheezy screenname (yea I suck at thinking them up ) I love the new evos! So much that I have decided that I must get one. Right now Im driving a 2003 Harley Davidson edition F-150. I love powerful cars and trucks and am ready for a change. I am used to working on my supercharged truck, but my boyfriend has an SRT4 and so I've been learning about turbos also.

I've been shopping around Miami for a new Evo and really want the MR cos IMO they look better with the BBS wheels and I want the GG (which I think only comes in MR? Correct me if Im wrong please!) Anyways, a new MR is out of my budget but a used MR is looking pretty good to me. Been shopping around and have found a couple used ones Im interested in! Anyone have any advice for me?

Im looking forward to finding a lot of information on this site, some of which I have found already. I hope I can show you all pics of my new soon!

The regular EVO 9 can be had in graphite gray. Cop one and pick up a set of used MR wheels, they're always up for sale on here

Will the BF be jealous that you will be able to smoke his car?

This is obviously just opinion and there will be people on here that disagree with me but I would highly recommend buying a new one. It sounds like that is what you are planing on doing anyways but I would say don't get tempted but that's because I got burned. Good luck on the purchase, you'll definately be happy with it

and what about those vortex things on the back by the antenna? I think the car looks naked without those..

The boyfriend's car will be faster than the evo when it's stock b/c he's pretty well modded right now. But I'll definitely change that once the evo is in my hands

Anyway I definitely want a new car Offender, which would probably be a GG IX now that I know they can be picked up in that color, but if it's out of my reach and I have to get a used one then Im gonna try for a used MR.

Vortex generators and those are also all over the place in the for sale section, so no worries there either

Hi Laura, if you are considering buying a new evo, which is a very wise choice, than you should check out South Coast Mitsu in Costa Mesa, CA. I just bought a IX GSR from them and they were very easy to deal with and very professional. I am flying out from Michigan to get it this Friday. Here is a link to the sale they have right now. You might be able to get the MR with this discounted price!

Sout Coast evo sale

If you just decide to get the GSR like I did than here is a link to a Mitsu dealership that sells OE parts for the Evo on ebay. You can buy the vortex generator, wickerbill, gauges, brake cooling ducts, and front spoiler as you get the money instead of financing it for five years. They also offer most of the parts already painted to match.

My friend has an srt-4 with an AGP 50 trim turbo kit with all the goodies to go with it and from a roll he's still a fender back from my IX that only has a TBE and flash. lol. He still refuses to go from a launch because he knows what'll happen if we do.

Well they do have very good prices, especially on the MR which is being sold by dealers here for around $40-41K... But after reading the thread and seeing how that one guy was sold a car by them with scratches on it (not trying to re-hash that whole situation) I am weary about a dealership such as that. It seems like there are no dealerships today that can just sell you the car you want without raping you while doing so. Craziness.

I Have a friend that Just Drove up to Daytona, FL and picked up a new MR for 33k and he also got $500 dollars from the Mitsu Dealer in Fort Myers cause they couldnt be the price so he came out Way ahead. I dont know the name of the Dealer sorry but Daytona is much closer for you to drive if you wanna do a search in that area and call around up there.

I thought that those scratches came from the shipping company? I doubt that South Coast is selling brand new cars with scratches on them! I wouldn't be weary of them at all, there are tons of people on these forums that have bought from them. Just look at the post right under my original post.
