thinking of getting an IX...is it now or never?

so i'm new to the forum, and somewhat new to the Evolution in general, but i have been wanting to purchase an Evolution IX. after reading through this forum, i have seen a lot of posts about how the Evolution is being discontinued after '06 and won't return until the X is out. i was originally thinking of purchasing one this coming spring, but i don't know if that will work out by the sounds of it.

my question i guess is, if i want an IX...it's pretty much now or never? i'm guessing the prices are going to go up if they aren't going to be getting any more.

Dealers are getting their last shipments now so after the ones sell on the lots, thats it. If you want to wait, its a gamble. I'm sure you will be able to find one somewhere later on but maybe not anywhere near your house.

ok man i did a lot of research on this... frankly the evoX is ugly... it looks more like a dodge neon than it does an evo... however the suspension is out of this world... go to www.edmunds.com and watch the video on the evox... so its up to you... do you want an evo or an extremely expensive neon... frankly i made the choice to go with the IX and have my evo :-)

the evo X isnt ugly. its not the best looking thing. but if anyone made fun of it the power to backit up is underneath you. but my decision is biased. i dont have a choice but to wait for the X. hell, im probly waiting for the XII. haha. man, it sucks being young and have to pay for crap yourself.

im sorry i did not mean to insult your possible future car in any way, i worded what i was trying to say very badly. I know that my reason for loving the evo is that it looks like a family sedan, and yet can completely obliterate almost any stock sports car, and on corners is the king... and all the while looking like a family car. Its the original sleeper. In my III i used to own when i brought it to the states i would literally get laughed at until the race was done. Thats what i love about the evo, and the X looks like a sports car, i just feel as though it is losing what made it great.

i wasnt getting offended at all jab. i agree with you. the looks of the X are dissapointing. i was more or less just pointing out that the looks wont matter, cuz its damn fast.lol. would looks stop you from buying a mclaren if you had the cash on you? never in a million years. thats how i feel. lol.

i doubt mitsu will give u a 0% interest. thats just one less thing to screw you over in the long run. we couldnt have that could we.

i can see it now on a commercial.

haha...news for you. Mitsu has 0% interest all the time but it always excludes the Evo's. Even their 'big sales' or 'year end sales events' etc exclude the Evo's...

every special offer you will hear about will always exclude the evo.

I got 0% on my 2005 Evo MR back last summer, so its possible. I traded in my 04 evo and wouldn't get the new MR until I got 0%, said it on their website at the time. The sales guy didn't even know they had the promotion until I mentioned it. So don't let them screw you over.
