evo mr for me?

Need as daily driver. Test drove (IX MR)- awesome but have one kid. I want a car that has incredible feel and speed if you need it but also has practicality. EVO fits the bill. I commute on the highway alot. The firm suspension does not bother me (not as bad BTW as everyone led me to believe.)

I am giving it the green light unless someone says that this is really a track car and not for the daily grind.

Thanks.

I have an 05 MR, 100% daily driven with 2 young kids in it now and then. I have zero problems with this car as a family/commuter and I have a decent amount of mods. My advice is go get a quiet catback (RM01A) and a HFC, otherwise no issues. (I posted a video) With snow tires it kicks butt in the winters in NE also. Evo comes with the Latch system for the kids, only downside is it doesn't get a great rating in the side impact test. But I think having a car that can handle and brake like the Evo will help keep you out of danger if you are a decent driver.

I own a IX MR and an STi. I have two kids, one in a car seat and the other in a booster seat, and I have never had any problem using either car on a daily basis.

The Evo really is a pretty practical car that has great performance. Go for it

I drive a RS, and if you check out my back seat you'll notice I have my helmet on one seat and a baby car seat on the other.

The only knock on the Evo at all is the side impact performance. I didn't look into it that much because it didn't affect my decision, but I *believe* the reason it got such poor ratings was due to the lack of side airbags. I'd get the Evo, you won't regret it. =)

The ride isn't bad for me on the MR. I'm kind of picky and I drive a ton on the freeway. I think the Bilsteins make the car more streetable. My girlfriend has a kid and it is a little bouncy for him in the back, but he never complains and I think it just helps him fall asleep.
