I've been hanging around the forum for the last couple of months, researching and learning as much about the Evo as I could, but since tomorrow the final papers go through on my new Apex Silver IX GSR Special Edition, I decided to go ahead and become a member. My old GSR (Integra, that is) was just not satisfying anymore and since I recently got a raise at work (Acura Parts Department) the time seemed right to finally own one of my dream cars. I actually just test drove the car for the first time early today and I know I had a big stupid grin on my face the entire time. I mean, I would barely press the throttle and the car just surged forward, and the handling seemed so quick and exact I just couldn't believe it. Anyway, I hope to have the car for a very long time and to be a member of the forum for equally as long, so I guess I'll be seeing you guys around.

Congratulations on the Evo. Seems like alot of Honda owners have evolved into Evo owners. :-)

 

Haha, nah man, I believe in proper break-in so I made sure to shift no later than 5k. And you are definitely right about this site being informative because I wouldn't have even known about the Special Edition if I hadn't come here.


Well, I can't speak for everyone else, but I got really tired of front-wheel drive. Although, I will miss the 'Teg when she's gone.

Well, it took almost a week longer than I expected but I finally picked the car up yesterday. I'll post some picks as soon as I get the chance, but it seems like every time I get a second free my butt is planted in that Recaro.
