What is the best power tap in point that dosent have to deal with the ignition harness cause i dont want to tap in to that, since the instrument cluster is on even when the head lights are off, what wire from the dimmer switch harness gets instant 12 v power when you turn the key, what color i mean?

 

I splice all my wires into the Metro cd player harness that goes from the oem harness to the alpine deck. That way if I ever do sell the car i can bring to 100%stock since non of the original harness was cut.

 

ya that is a good idea, but im wanted to only tap in to the dimmer switch harness, so what color wire is a power when you turn the key, i dont want to have to peel every single 1 and test it.
