made up my mind..and i want an EVO

I just want to introduce myself to the Evolution community. I currently have an rsx (look at my sig) with minor mods and planning to buy a evo 9 MR. Fell in love with one when i rode in my friend's MR. I don't know much about mitsubishi or the lingo i've been reading on the boards, so my apologizes for the newb questions!

PEACE!!

Good choice. I'm glad I turned to the AWD and boost and left the NA and no traction days behind.

When I drove a Evolution...thats when I knew I wanted one. Patrick, just stay on the message board and read all the threads for information so by the time you do purchace a Evolution you will be well knowledged. Thats what im doing, and im going from a supercharged car to a turbocharged car soon.

Good luck in your search!

I have one of each, though the WRX isn't an STi, and I definitely can say that the Evo is the better choice. It take so little to make it go so fast.

i've been on clubrsx sooo long and been modding my rsx since 01. I've always wanted to boost my rsx..BUT when i rode in my friend's MR.....mannnn.... i made up my mind. I've been reading about AMS 2.3 stroker kit and the AMS gt35r and 50 trim kit. Those look good.

how much beating can the stock block take? if i were to get an evo 9 or MR..i'd get the turbo kit first just for fun and maybe the stroker kit later. ohhh wellll..i got lots of time to think about it.

Yup, don't forget the drivetrain. You're going to need to build it up sooner or later with all that power.

Welcome to the boards. I also had a modded Honda in the past, my Evo is so much better in every way. Your car is pretty cool though, with that setup, the engine must've had a pretty wild top end with all those Type-R goodies. I used to also post at clubRSX under this user name. I remember this guy named "RSX Andy" who seemed like a tool and posted all the time, then I think I saw him on some Subaru websites as "STi Andy" inquiring about what would happen if he took a jump at 150 mph.
