Car is very nice. Its a long ride back to Ohio for powertrain warranty work though. Be careful letting any dealership see your car. They will black flag it with Mitsu, if your not careful. I know Medina validates the warranty, but no dealerships around here will, as far as the powertrain warranty goes. Hopefully you wont have any warranty issues, but just be warned.

Do dealerships where you live really "Black Flag" cars with Mitsu? Not here in So Cal. If you have some mods they won't repair anything that happens as a result of the mods, but they still honor the rest of the warranty.

They have better things to do than waste time narcing to Mitsu. What's it worth to them to do that? Don't you think most dealers know what a BR350 is? You suggesting he shouldn't get basic warranty work done at a dealer besides Medina? that's silly.

I know several people that took there cars in for "NON Powertrain related warranty issues", such as P0300 codes, spoiler problems, caliper problems etc. The dealership listed the engine modifications that were on the car. For example, (boost controller, exhaust, downpipe, air filter, bov, etc.) These same people went back at a latter date for "powertrain warranty issues", such as clutch problems, tranny grinds, transfer case whining, etc. They were denied warranty, due to the fact that the dealership noted the mods that were on their car prior to the powertrain warranty denial.

The service manager told me personally, that they had a list of things to look for and even had pictures of intakes, bov's etc. that they were supposed to note if they found them on the cars.

Some dealerships are cool, others arent. To find out a mod friendly dealership in your area is very important. You will find a list of "blacklisted dealers" on this website somewhere. These are the ones to stay away from. You must also remember that with the BR320 and BR350, the ECU is tampered with. That is a definite "no-no" if it is found out.

The worst case scenario for the people I spoke about above is that they lost there powertrain warranty, but the rest of the warranty was intact.

Take it for what its worth. But some dealerships are nicer than others.

if you like it now wait until its broken in and you get to run it a little. i have #005,silver w/ssl. I just realized it is broken in from the trip back down south. good luck with it, the more miles you put on it the better its gonna get. i have 6500 on mine now and it puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it. also put the buschur licp on it, i ordered it with the build in december but they didnt have licp for the IX at that time but it was worth the wait for it. besides some cosemetic upgrades like wheels and a few carbon fiber pieces here and there and removal of the res. pill and a ss clutch line its stock BR350. with a test pipe, fuel pump, mbc, and a retune Big Al told me theres another 40-50 whp left in this silky smooth beast but since its a numbered car and runs fantastic already i,m leaving it alone. BEST CAR I,VE EVER OWENED! Dave,Big Al and the Buschur Racing crew are the best!
