I paid a lil over 36 for mine and in most cases that is a deal. I know every Evo owner in the area for the most part and I got mine the cheapest. Cali might be a lil different but i dont know. How can you honestly tell someone on this furom they got ripped off when you dont even have the car this furom is for. this is the site for you.... www.acuraforums.com/
obviously you have not been watching these prices from south coast mitsu.

South Coast Mitsu is a phenomenon when it coms to their pricing. If I recall correctly when they first joined the board wasn't there somesort of agreement between dealerships in the area to et prices that low? I thought it was a series of dealerships that went into agreement and had Southcoast as a spokesman....Like I said though this was awhile ago I recall this. So I could be wrong...

your right. I dont... most people dont wanna have to deal with the hassel of buying the car from a distant dealer... flighing in picking it up, driving it home... or buying it and having it shipped. I would much rather pay the extra couple hundred bucks and not have to worry about anything. My friend bought his cobalt while we were still in korea and the hassle he went through to get the damn thing was ridiculous. I that aspect I will admit i am wrong, I guess i want the comfort of knowing i have nothing to worry about when i buy my cars. However from a local vendor I am right.

Yeah El Paso has on average like 1million plus people in it daily... And they have exactly one Mitsu dealer..... the nearest one to me besides it had an MR when i bought mine, but it had like 600miles on it and the car was an hour away... so I waited a month and got mine for 36400 and had 9 miles on it.... it was worth it to me... oh and they were asking 38900

You may not get it for as low as they're offering, but if you can get close it'll make up for the cost of getting the car to you from California.

If not, you may just save money by buying it at South Coast and either driving it back home or having it shipped to you.

Good luck!
heck ya....they went from $32k to $28k on my evo IX without me even mentioning anything about prices, there definatly the best evo dealer around and nicest people to deal with

they also ship evo's all over the US...i was in parts department buying a new shift knob and the guy on the phone was selling a evo car cover to someone and the guy lived in FL, he told them to put the car cover in the trunk of the evo since it was being shipped to him in FL lol

That's where I bought mine from back in March ($31,999 FTW ) and they were great to deal with. Car arrived with only 10 miles on the odometer, and all the plastic still covering the seats.

Only regret I have was going with DAS for the shipping, as they gave me a few gouges on the rear bumper that I ended up taking care of myself (I work at a dealership with a bodyshop so I got it done at a discount), as I didn't feel like going through the hassle of trying to get them to pay for it. If I were to do it over again, I'd definately go with another shipping company.

Just be glad you're not in Hawaii... MR's are going for 47k.

Honestly, go to this website... http://www.carbuyingtips.com/. You shouldn't be paying much over INVOICE for it... if you're good.

Southcoast Mitsubishi

I just purchased my GSR SE for $29,999 from Southcoast Mitsubishi in California. Don't ask me how they sell it for this, but I drove my 05 WRX as fast as I could to trade it in and get this deal. They had the RS for $26,999, the regular IX GSR for $28,999, the MR SE for $33,999, and the GSR with Sun, Sound, and Leather for $31,599. The sale was smooth, no hard sell on extras, and easily the best buying experience I have ever had. They were thousands less than anyone else in my area.

Do you own an MR or know someone who purchased one? I did quite a bit of shopping before I purchased it. Actually, every dealership in Phoenix save one sells Evos OVER MSRP. If you know someone who purchased a brand new '06 MR for less I'd be curious to find out by how much...
