Used Evo Pricing

Can someone please explain to me how people are wanting to sell their used '05 and '06 Evo's for the same or more than a Brand New '06's?

Looking at South/West Coast pricing, you can pick up a new IX GSR for 28,599. (For me 28,099 after new graduate rebate) Now, I'm not sure about shipping cross country, but I live dab smack in the middle of the US. I've gotten shipment quotes 500-1000. Flying out picking it up, and driving it home would cost even less. Also, if I were to buy from a dealer I would be able to get better financing options than buying a private car.
Are these guys selling their used evo's hoping people are dumb enough not to shop around and research stuff, or do they think their Evo is special from all the others?

They probably paid more than SC's price, so they want to get some money back out of it since they may owe that much on it. Also, since you're complaining about it you probably would rather buy one locally instead of from SC, and just want someone to drop their price. The price at SC is cheaper but it's not as convienient as a local vehicle. Buy a new one from SC if the extra cost bothers you so much.

Well I can understand that the don't want to lose money, but if they want to sell they car they need to come to the grips of reality and understand they can't sell a used car for the same price or more than a brand new one.

That's the plan
I would kind of rather help out someone else selling their car if they need the money, but at the same time I don't feel like I should be overpaying for a used car. Make sense?

I have thought the same thing as you guys when I see the prices people try to ask for used evos. I guess it really comes do to what someone would pay for it or it is the line of thinking that they will only sell it at their price and not really caring if they do or not.

Not every Evo buyer knows about South Coast I'm sure, so they'll probably find a buyer sooner or later.

It is pretty inconvenient for people on the east coast to get out to sc and majority of people don't get it though them. I hate when people go into others thread and say "your price is to high I can go get a new one for that". great go buy one then. If you think there price is to high then don't say anything. I personally would't sell mine for anything but there are reasons that people have.
