Test Drive = WOW

I just test drove the Evo MR SE today. All that i have to say is WOW. The thing is amazing and i want it bad. The thing is that i am still in college till the end of this semester so i will not be able to make payments while in school. (not possible). and by the time the end of this semester rolls around there will be no MR's left to buy.
the dealer priced me in at 36,800 i think. It had everything and the style package or whatever that is with the front lip and stuff.
the car was smooth. I test drove an STI 1 day ago and i feal that the EVO's shifter was not as notchy. I love the evo and want it bad .......

36,800 is way too damn high...look for better prices good luck with ur decision (with college in the way and everything)

mrs are 38,000 around here, and ... how the hell you get a test drive? all the dealers are like 'NO TEST DRIVES UNLESS YOU GET A CREDIT CHECK'

My dealership let me test the drive a used 03 first then when i said i really like it he let me take out an 06. They also had a used 04 sti they let me drive and i didn't like the way the gearbox felt compared to the evo. They have a nice little route that they take you on that lets you open the car up a little which is pretty nice.

Most dealerships don't allow test drives with high performance cars that are popular with the younger crowds unless you pass a credit check. Blame it on those punk kids that just want to see what an Evo is like with absolutely no intention, money, or credit to actually purchase one.

There is no MR SE. You drove an SE with the "appearance package" that has the MR rims, and such. And, yes, 36,800 is way too high. Mine was marked the same, but I got them down to 31k, someone with more negotiation skills would probably do even better.

The shifting becomes a lot smoother after the break-in of the car, maybe 5k miles

I can't beileve that the dealership let you test drive that car. Out here in MASS they wouldn' even let us breathe on it

Wrong!!!! he drove an MR with the appearance package. We got several of them here on the lots in CT. They are stickered at like 37.2 to 37.5 so I believe it when he said they would do 36.8. That price is still high because they can be had for around invoice in CT at the dealerships that have several Evos on the lot. Believe me, the floorspace is killing the dealers that have 6+ Evos on the lot. I got my SE for invoice with no negotiating or haggling of the price. I basically told them that giving it to me for invoice would equal what it would cost me to buy it at southcoast and ship it here. So they just sold it. The car is truly a drivers machine and I, just as most other Evo owners do, absolutely love it.

My first impression Of your test drive by the title being "Wow!" says to me you drove the car hard.

Just curious during your test drive did they let you Redline it or go over 5000rpm? Did they explain how the car needs to be broken in and cant drive it hard until 600 miles? Yea..didnt think so.
