EVO IV-V-VI Noob Question!

Hi, i'm new to the evo world....

i really don't know the evo at all....why? Because they are illegal in Canada!

BUT, i saw that the evo 2003 to 2007 are prohibited but not the one before...

so, here's my question:

there was any EVO sold in the USA by the dealer before 2002?

and which year is which model?

tanx a lot!!

That makes no sense. Why can you bring a IV, V, or VI into the country, but not an VIII/IX? And then why not a VII? The past evos probably put out more emissions than the VIII/IX. Whatever... Anyways the IV, V, and VI were only made in Japan and a few were shipped to the UK i believe. Your best bet would be to find an online car dealer that ships internationally and see if you can get it sent to Canada.

It's the front mounted intercooler. It did not pass Canadian frontal crash test safety standards. That's why the STi is sold in Canada but not the Evo. Then again the SRT-4 is sold in Canada and it's sporting a big FMIC just like the Evo. Apparently it must perform better in the Canadian's frontal crash tests. I dunno.

You can probably get an Evo I or II. They were made in the EARLY 90's. So you might be able to get a low mileage one from Japan. Check it out! Someone here on the forums was selling his Evo I on here for something around 10k or so. It ran high 11's to low 12's i believe.
