Hello from Romania!

Hello everybody, i am new on this forum. My name is Sabin and i live in Bucharest, Romania. Is somewhere in Europe.

I've signed the papers for a black Evo 9 and i can't wait to pick it up and to drive it.

Initially i wanted to buy a BMW 330xi but after driving my friend's evo i dumped the BMW ideea. I wanted from my car to have good suspension, good brakes and some power....i found everything in EVO and i am very glad.

I read a lot about modifications that can be done on this car. I want to start with an exhaust system (can anybody tell me the difference between turbo back system and cat back system?), an BOV and a boost controller.

I want to buy the Blitz Exhaust, but for the BOV and BC i don't know what to choose.

I want to tell you that we don't have a dyno for 4x4 cars so i can't do much on this car.

Thank you!

Hi and welcome!

There is an inexpensive system (you do need a laptop) called a road dyno. You can find the details here:

http://www.microsmith.co.uk/rd/dyno.htm

It is a tune and drive method and will give you accurate information concerning tuning changes. Another member has one and we used it on our new 2003 (back in 2003) Evo's to measure changes from different intakes etc. It worked very well. Enjoy the site!

Welcome. Turbo back exhaust bolts to the tubo. Cat back exhaust bolts to the catalytic converter. Turbo backs just replace more piping.

Good luck!

The TBE includes the downpipe and usually a highflow cat or a straight pipe which replaces the cat.

A TBE will make more power and have better spool up.

For now i've decided to buy a catback exhaust and i want to buy a Blitz Nur Spec R. I would like also if is needed, i don't know and i'm asking your opinion, a intake system and some recomandations. I would like to buy a boost gauge and a turbo timer.

Thanks!

Don't buy a BOV as it won't do you any good, same goes for the intake. Get a flash and exhaust for now. Oh and congratulations on your purchase.
