The SE has HIDs. Standard. It's actually a good deal. For $1600+ over the standard IX. You Get HID's, BBS wheels, an AL Roof, and a front spolier. It's like a Jr Mr that ~3500 less. Personally I'd rather have the MR. The 6sp is very nice 4 daily driving. 4 me the 5sd was too much. Just about every shift puts you right in the power band.

 

Mitsubishi states that the RS doesn't come with HID, optional for the IX, and standard for the MR. The SE is actually unlisted at the Mitsubishi website for whatever reason but they do come with HID headlamps. For the most part, all Evos (regardless of trim) come with the HID upgrade through the dealer because they want to squeeze more money from you.

 

Well to this guys credit the IX SE is not mentioned on the Mitsu site.....so most people dont even know about it unless they have been looking for it. But yes the evos that come with HID are:

-SSL
-MR
-SE

Like someone said earlier, you can get aftermarket hid's for a lot less than factory and you can choose the lumens you want.
