Stock Clutch in a close to stock evo.?

ok i have read on here that the stock clutch is a piece of S and wont last at all.. then i see some people say it will last fine if you dont abuse it..

a lot of people on my forum ls1gto.. were complaining about the stock clutch sucking.. but i thougt it was fine... i had 12k miles on it.. and it was just fine.. but i dont beat on it, never gone to the track etc......... but as soon as i put the blower on.. it was gone within 500-1000k miles..

so... when i get the evo, i dont plan on launching it or abusing it... how long have some of you guys kept the stock clutch with normal every day driving?

and how would a turbo back and tune affect the stock clutch if you dont launch it or abuse it? is it going to kill it a lot sooner?

thanks

My clutch is at 45k and fine. I think it's driver dependent on stock cars.

I'd be careful about those stock clutches. I just bought my car with 35k on it and the previous driver has toasted the clutch so I'm stuck with fronting the cash on the repairs. I'd consider atleast getting a tougher single plate clutch.

It all depends how you drive the car, if you abuse it or not.

I have 60K on my clutch and I drive bumper to bumper LA traffic. I have NEVER launched the car though. I have dropped it (hard) from 5 to 4 at 80+MPH countless times as well.

I have 16,000 on mine and its fine but when it goes going to put in a lighten flywheel and stage 3 clutch so i dont got change them for at least two years and more power gains dont hurt
