evo vs. e46 M3

Hi everyone.
I just sold my car and thinking about buying new one. So, my choice is between used M3 (about 40k miles) or IX MR with maybe 4k miles. I was also thinking about purchasing a used VIII with mods...

Honestly, I never drove any of those cars and not sure how they feel. I am coming from 4.6 liters. I like BMW, it is luxury, and pretty fast stock. however, too much money to mod. MR is almost new and easy to mod.

Guys, help me out please.....

I say with the amount of these kinds of threads, Mitsu does not do enough to advertise or promote their own car...

I realize that this is an evo forum, so there will be some bias towards evos

I am just curious, those of you who has driven M3 and Evo, which one would you choose as an everyday car. I really do love how evo looks, and I bet it could be as fast as m3 (maybe little bit slower if stock vs. stock), what I dont like evos, is the interior... I mean for the $35000 car, it is pretty sh!tty. I seems like my old mercury sable was more comfy...

I actually just got rid of my e46 M3 for a 06 MR. I loved the M3. I had the Full TC Kline suspension setup so the car handled extremely well. I am not quite sure the Evo will ever have the balance the e46 had. However, I haven't been in a suspension modified Evo yet. The problem I ran into, I was paying for another car to drive everyday and especially in winter. I wanted the M3 a lot faster and that cost would allow me to get a used Porsche 996 911 Turbo which would be the logical choice. However, I didn't have that kind of money, especially while paying for a second car. So I decided I could have a brand new Evo as my only car, and have so much more money freed up. It was a tuff choice because I loved my M3, but financially, it didn't make sense for me anymore. Plus, over the past year I have become a serious boost junkie so....Hope that helps! Good luck

After I pay off this car I am going to buy a 2001-2005 M3. I love the way those cars look. Just a drop and some Phat 19inch HRE's. I will not even try to mod anything in that car.

I love M3's but I've beatin a few when I was stock. If you want luxury with speed, go for the bimmer. If you want a sexy 4 door sports car, go with the evo.

Thx guys,
I really appreciate the feedback...
Seems like you guys like both cars.

One more question. What kind of alarm you do guys install on your cars? I usually park my car outside, so I would probably need a good security sys. Any suggestions?

I know that that those are pretty fast. Still, m3 would be little bit faster.... besides, it is all about the ///M...

Viper 5900 SST 2 Way Car Alarm
With Remote Start System.
Had to have the tech do some custom work to get the remote start to work with the manual transmission, but it works. Had a similar system on my '02 BMW 330Ci. Working well so far.
