are you serious.... you must be retarded. the evo is the only good one at anything but it is still more built for handling and such. if you want a good drag car get a supra or something

Keep your negative comments to yourself and just comment on the topic at hand. Thanks.

If you want a car that's a good drag platform, go get yourself a RWD car. FWD or RWD (without huge mods) will not cut a 60' time like a RWD with upgraded axles and slicks can pull off.

AWD = handling in good or bad weather + rally.
FWD = fuel economy and better for snow/ice conditions.
RWD = handling in dry and drag.

Comparing the regular Lancer to the Evo is an apples to oranges comparison. You can't compare the two. The chassis, engine, drivetrain are completely different. It's like comparing a NSX to a Civic; no point in comparing.

comparing an evo to a lancer is like comparing a ferrari to a 1982 subaru outback wagon w/ 200000 miles on it...

For your own ettification....the OZ is a two wheel drive non-turbo car...kinda like a sentra, but better looking. The EVO is AWD and turbo. An OZ is a car for the high school graduate (as a gift), the EVO is the kind of gift that you get when you graduate law school. :-) I am not into drag racing at all, however there are countless members here who do drag their EVO's.....(9 sec cars too). Oh and BEWARE, I believe that the dumbest question is the one THAT DOESN"T GET ASKED! Ignore the other "opinionative" members. They are rude and are the cause for the other DSM/EVO forums to grow much bigger. Please except my apologies for the other chicken$#!& members who can dare to only voice their rude comments via a computer!

ya there is about a 1% difference between an evo and the rest of the lancers. the lancers are all fwd and have like 120 hp are naturally asperated and ugly. the evo comes with 17x8 enkei or bbs's, has much wider fenders and rear doors, has different headlights and tail lights comes with a big carbon fiber spoiler has different front end has a turbo, can't come in automatic, has recaro seats, has brembo brakes, has awd, has the big vent in the hood. as you can see there is so many differences its unbelieveable. sorry for my rude comment before but i thought that this tread was a joke. you can obvioiusely read the differences on the mitsu website...

To ak47po.....FWIW all my mods are pretty much carb legal...however all my windows are 5% limo tint... I don't need a suspect recognizing me on the way home from the station!
