I also joined the darkside!

Hey everybody,

I picked my new ix two weeks ago, apex silver, ssl. I traded in a 2005 sti, which was cobb stage 2. Anyway I do have a quick question for you guys.
I just picked up a Helix turbo back exhaust. I noticed when I installed the catback section there was a o2 bung, which I plugged. I also noticed the o2 sensor was in the cat. Well when the downpipe and test pipe arrived, I didnt see a o2 bung in either of them. Now for my question, Will the o2 sensor reach from the stock cat to the o2 bung in the catback section, it only looks about 10 inchs or so from the stock location? Or will I have to extend the wires? and If I have to extend the wires how does one go about doing that?

Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum, but Im a newbie and I need some help before I tackle this.

Thanks
Joe Meador

Yes you have to extend the wires, just go to the local hardware store and get a similar gauge wire and it will be fine. Also dont forget to do something about the CEL you will get, like get a anit-fouler or a SIM.
