I am sure that others will chime in and tell you to search since there are already some good posts discussing increasing octane. Synopsis is that most (if not all) the basic over the counter octane boosters increase octane number very little. On the flip side, as long as they are catalytic convertor safe, they should also not damage your engine.

Check the label on the bottle. I've used the NOS brand one before as well, it says they're cat-safe, so it shouldn't be a concern. However, I see you're in Arizona, and that makes me think you should have 93 or 94 octane available, in which case, you should be running that... unless it's like California, and 91 is pretty much it, unless you find an ultra rare station with 100 octane.

If you are squirting Methanol, everyone knows you need to put in "Puffed-Rice", or you will get the dreaded Misfire code!

I use the NOS octane booster all the time and it works fine. There was a comparison test done which showed that the NOS Racing formula inceased octane the most over all other brands. Even at that it only raised 91 oct slightly which is better than nothing.
