Finally stepped up!
Finally stepped up!
So, after lurking on the boards for a bit and trying to decide between the STI and MR, I picked up an Evo about a week ago. I ended up getting a silver MR with all three option packages. The deal was definitely decent and I've already been able to properly break the car in without any high boost or high RPM.
The dealer had the windows tinted and a clear bra put on so I'm all set on that front. I've got a new deck on the way and I'll be picking up a turbo timer later this week. I think the only other thing on the horizon would be getting a Valentine-1. After that I should be done. Until I need more power.
All I can say is wow, the car is fantastic and I'm satisfied I made the right decision.

From: City O Sin, MA...the not so sinish part though...
congrats on your buy. A radar detector was my first "mod" for my car. I literally went straight from the dealership to best buy and got a passport 8500, which is right up there with the valentine 1. And believe me...more power will be "necessary" sooner than you think.

You know what alot of engine builders do actually tell you that in order to seat the rings in properly. Not the Mitsu manual though I think it is because they have found that not breaking it in nice leads to more oil consumption.
When I do engine rebuild down the road I'll follow the drive it like you stole it method
