I've had my IX since April and I haven't had a single issue.... yet (as I knock on wood)

It seems like a pretty well built and reliable car. I'm a firm believer in how you treat a car determines how many problems you will have.

actually!

the only problem so far was getting my first speeding ticket going 90+ in 65 speed limit. Why? Reason: late for work

Worst:

1st speeding ticket in what ? 2 or maybe 2 1/2 years. I used to drive a Mazda 3 2005 and i used it as a trade-off value to get my Evo IX and I never got a speeding ticket and I've been driving the same way all along... so i guess it's the infamous fame of the Evo :P

plus:

the police stopped me the other day for not having my license plate... I was like I have not got them in yet the car its brand new jsut bought it a week ago and he asked any mods in the engine? and i replied what? so he asked me to pop the hood so i did, he looks at it and then says thank you dude bye...

end of story

California is turning in to crappy state.. they are to strict there on well... just about everything.. Shouldnt be against the law to modify your car... there are how many 500 HP ferarri's/lambos blowing by cops in 90210 and they dont say anything to them because they are modded from the factory..
Cali gets a big from me!!! if they adapt them laws in PA like they claim they will, then i will turn RAMBO on them.. or will just move to another state..

I agree but this is my first car with HID's so maybe thats the way they are supposed to be.

I definately like the light they put out.

Anyway...the car has some very minor rattles when I go over bumps--the front dash in particular makes a "snapping" plastic noise on both foremost corners when I hit bumps, and the driver's seatbelt harness rattles as well. Outside of that the car is great (so far).

From what I hear the clutch is weak--especially if you mod the car. But I've not experienced that yet either.

All the consumer reviews will tell you the car is great--almost every driver will tell you the same thing. It's not like a Honda where it has a 1000 rattles, tranny problems, etc.
i bet the guy who owned it before you ran the p!ss out of it and then said oh well fu*k it

You do know you can adjust them from inside the car don't you? Just rotate the dial and raise them up to the highest position.

As for the seat squeaking--- I'm 6'5" 250 lbs and my seat doesn't squeak at all so 180 shouldn't be much of a strain on it. Off topic- At 180 you must be a rail! People call me skinny and I weigh 250 damn pounds!

As Max-Q mentioned, you can use the cockpit-mounted headlight adjustment wheel to raise the lamps. It's located next to the fog light switch.

You have an MR... the GSR's dont have that option... Also, the GSR's (non-SE), have really dim stock halogen headlights, which suck *****.

The 6 O' clock spot on steering wheel with all NEWER IX's (especially SE's) open up because mitsubishi thought it would be smart to glue the leather rather than stitch it there...

the RS has no such feature. No HID, no fog lamps, No power locks, no power windows, no ABS, no trunk liner, no rear window wiper. maybe with a few people in back they would be more level.

Yes I am sure we both realize they can be adjusted from inside the car.

Even at the highest setting they seem too low.
