Question Honest Opinion Needed

Hello all...I found this '04 EVO VIII RS with 44K miles in Palo Alto, California. My OTD deal is $21,425 shipped to Tucson, Arizona. The dealer "guarantees" that the car has never been in an accident and is completely stock (unmodified). However, I don't believe that the wheels are OEM. I am a little hesitant because I have never purchased a car that I didn't get to drive first. Do you think this is a good deal? Or should I keep on looking? Thank you in advance for any help.

So that's what they are...I'm thinking that "shady" pretty much sums it up. Damn it.

What price should I be aiming for? KBB is telling me differently.

Ya, I'd not bother after they lied. People that lie need to have their nuts raped.

Still a slick looking car though. *shrug*

Besides the wheels.. the stereo is obviously not stock, and some RS's had the triple gauges not the pocket.. there is obviously an aftermarket stereo.. and thus aftermarket speakers.

It also appears some LED is put in the ACD spot like an alarm?

Either way that is NOT stock, there were things put in it.

I'd pass and find some else's car for the 20's...

I would say pass as well. I almost bought a used evo... them through advice on here and with friends I saved for another 6 months and did tons of research and pricing and bought a brand new IX GSR for $28464!! I thought I got a great deal. Anyway, I would say away from this one for obvious reasons (not stock at all)...

Just checked Carfax...The dealership told me that they acquired the car via trade-in. Carfax says that the vehicle was sold at an auction last month. WTF?

Stay away. Stay far away.

Keep looking. Maybe at the early 07, you can get a VIII GSR for the same price. And hopefully less miles.
