yeah the question is the title, if you haven't done any mods should you still get a tune? i read somewhere that Evos are not tuned correctly out of the factory.

Thanks.

Evo's run rich from factory...getting it tuned would net you some horsepower/torque. But would be best if you started modding so you don't have to go back to get it tuned.

yes if you want a like a little more power and your car to drive better. Like the post above me said if your planning on modding soon then wait but if its going to be a while then get it tuned

You can always do a mail in flash or have a tuner email you a flash, you don't have to be near a local tuner nowadays. For example: http://www.jestrtuning.com for email flashes, there are of course other vendors on this site that offer this service.

The car is tuned correctly from the factory, if it wasn't they wouldn't of made shipped it here like that. You would honestly be better off going with an exhaust first and then a year from now go with a tune.

jestr tuning email flash. cheap and easy and you can buy a subscription so you can get a reflash when you install your mods.

I might just get it tuned because im not going to mod for a while..Then after i get all the parts i want..tune it and be done because tuning gets expensive if you keep adding parts piece by piece.!!

Tactrix cable and jestr tune! Just got it done and its flawless. Do a search for Jestr and you wont find one bad thing against the guy! Dynoflash has had a few problems. Not saying Al is a bad tuner, but do a search for Dynoflash and you might find a few things.

I think my car put down 265 AWHP STOCK on a dyno that other EVOs were putting down 20 (IIRC) and such so my TT flash wasn't as dramatic as others but it did smooth out the higher RPM power and allow me to rev higher. I definately noticed a difference in driveability so I think it's definately worth it.
