First Mod: Michelin Pilot Sports

Woohoo, what a difference

Not me of course (I wouldn't dream of modding my car and loose the wararnty just in case a change of tires cause the stereo not to work)

So a "friend" went to Costco today and had four of these installed on his car. "He" reports quite a difference. The car handles way better in the "freezing rain" and the in cabin noise went down quite a bit.

So "he" was wondering if there is a market for 2000 miles stock Advans and what price they go for.

I'm sure he'll be looking for tires pretty soon. The treadlife on these tires are horrible....unless he got the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's.

I would check the For Sale tires section, then post for your 'friend' there. I'm sure there will be some interest.

^ Theyre actually friggin light too.. at 22lbs per tire theyre a good 3lbs lighter than the stock Advans. Thats 12lbs less rotating mass just from swapping the tires...

Nitrogen at Costco.

The Pilot Sport A/S tires are great for rain and snow conditions. Of course they offer nowhere near the ultimate grip of dedicated snow tires, but they're a great choice when you're in an area that gets snow occasionally and lots of rain like me.
