Question New 06 MR purchase questions

Hey everyone and thanx for the help in macking my decision to purchase a 06 red MR from Carriage nissan/Mitsubishi in Gainsville GA. on this coming Saturday.

My questions are as follows.

#1. Are there any dealer options that are worth having for the MR?
(I've looked at the Mitsubishi website and the list of options, some sound good but there are no pictures and hardly any description either, I thought maybe some of you might shed some light on this subject.)

#2. I'm planning on sending upwards of $3k off the bat to do a few mods.
What does the contingent on here suggest with that sort of budget.

#3. Forget about the rim upgrade as Iam not including that in the $3k mod budget. I'm thinking maybe some Volk te 28's but also maybe the GTN's.

Thanx for your help and suggestions, they are appreciated. I did an extensive search on this forum and came up with some great ideas but I thought I would see if any of you could come up with a good starting off point for mods.

Congrats on the Rally Red MR, thats what i got and love it! The only options you want would be floor mats, mine back in june didnt come with any but thats about it. As far as mods Tbe, mbc or ebc, intake, o2 housing, licp than get a flash or custom tune. Than soon enough will will need to look for a good clutch. But as far as the brands, its all personal preference. Theres many diferent combinations out there that work great.

BR stage 1, clutch, cams, and licp. I think that's around 3k.

And I like the Volks TE37s

OMG please be careful from getting screwed over with them! Carriage was so horrible to me when I went to look at an evo there. They will never get my business! I went through another dealer to get my '05 in lagrange(Parkway Mitsubishi). They were a lot better to me, and I drove all the way from athens to get a great deal.

Carriage's prices were pretty high on new evos as well as used ones. The salespeople at Carriage were rude and very uneducated about their cars. I have never been treated like that at a dealer. I even told them that I would buy a car within a two month period-which I later did. However, they still blew me off. They wouldn't let me even look the car over (silver '03). I hope that you have better luck if you do decide to buy from carriage. Please feel free to contact me if you need to.

Yes, I've had similar results at other dealers too. So far so good with Carriage, they are bending over backwards for me. I'll definately take your words under advisment, I also have another dealer waiting in the wings if it doesn't workout at Carriage. I'm driving over from Birmingham so I'll try to get over early enough to have time for alternate plans and dealers. But like I said Carriage so far has been great t me. Financing is already approved, we've talked about my trade-in, talked about options, but as I believe until the keys are in hand, you never know. I've had other cars bought out from under me while I was filling out the paperwork. But thanx and yes give me your opions of other dealers in the ATL area. Thanx...

i'm not so sure about cams. i have yet to see repeatable, decent results for ix cams (unlike the viii). even the gsc s1's are turning out to be a dissapointment according to some that have tried them.

Check out the mitsubishi dealer in clarksville tn. I'm not sure about the name of the dealer, but they have a red(mr I think) and a black mr se. I always stop in to dealerships when I am travelling for my job. There are also 2 silver se and 1 black mr se at a dealership in knoxville, tn. Trust me, it never hurts to shop around. Then again, there's always south coast mitsu. with their good prices.
