ok if i were to install a bov on stock turbo what are the performance losses your talking about like hp or just the stalling factor. what exactly do you lose when running a diff bov.

sigh.

my bov is the best. all my friends think im cool because i drive around all day in high gear and let my bov go off all day. man im cool.

i hate these type of people. but to each his own.

i had an aps dual port bov. on stock air box its ok. not load at all. sounds ok though. does not mess up idle or driving around

i now have the same bov and im useing an hks rs intake. it is load as hell. it was cool the 1st hour i had it. then it became annying because im not the (hey you 5 blocks over can you here me coming with my bov??) type.

still no problems with idle or driving. by

Some people want to be heard, and that's okay. It is annoying, however, if you spool the hell out of your car all the time just to hear the 'swoosh'. I've been spanked a couple of times for suggesting what I use, but I don't really care. I have the HKS SSQV and I love it. The BOV is adjusted right now and the blow off is not that loud. This is dual port system, so it does not rob your air box of pressure and I have no stalling issues. It can be heard when you want it to be, and suttle the rest of the time.

Get Greddy Type S, a Blitz Induction Cover and a Dejon intake pipe. It'll be all good in your hood.

I hate to correct you, but you have the TurboSmart dual-port BOV. You were probably getting flamed for the SSQV because it's a POS. The TurboSmart BOV is really nice with no stall issues. Sorry, bro.

FWIW, I have read some posts that reflect very positive feedback on this HKS gizmo. If you do a search you´ll likely find references. This question has been asked and answered before, and as I recall, someone said that this is an effective solution to the problem of VTA BOV/MAF disfunctionality.

Ultimately however,I question the logic of purchasing a $250 bandaid for a malady caused by an unnecesary $300 VTA BOV, purchased mostly for audial pleasure. I personally would take the $500+ that will be spent on these two items and buy a set of cams or an Alky kit. But that´s just my opinion, and we all know what the real value of an opinion is, but that´s another story.

Just forget about a new bov. The sound isn't worth messing the car up.
