One bar is 14.7psi. 23psi is 1.56 bars

1 bar is 14.7 at sea level. If you're higher in altitude, your atmospheric pressure will be lower. Remember that your boost gauge is absolute, meaning it's measuring the difference between your Atmospheric pressure and your internal boost pressure.

You think thats hard, try, knowing what boost you should be running at in psi. Knowing, what you are running at in kpa and seeing what your boost controller is set to in mm hg

Learn to use Google. If you type in "psi bar conversion," you get a calculator. Do people still not know how to use online search engines?

That's not very useful, Devil. I know it's the first thing that Google shows you, but the vast majority of that chart is not remotely usable in terms of boost levels, and the areas that are usable do not get granular enough.

The 2nd Google listing has an actual calculator you can use, which is more useful.

i know, or think, that the whole Bar system was/is a "JDM" thing, but how was this system or scale ever really useful.. i could be wrong of all the above, but my question is basically, how did this system come about and why.. btw, you can call me curious george.. but my name isn't george...
