Cheapest is to first try an Easy-Out and just drill and then back the studs out yourself. Then replace the broken studs with bolts. Any machinist should be able to remove the 2 broken studs from your turbine housing, if you don't wanna do it yourself.

If you were to decide to upgrade to the 20G TME, just make sure, as someone else previously mentioned, by comparing the compressor housing to that of your IX turbo, that it is a 20G-9-TME and not a 20G-8-TME. If it is a 20G-8-TME, then have either Blouch Turbos or Forced Performance Turbos, convert the 20G-8-TME to a 20G-9-TME by swapping the compressor housing from your IX turbo onto the 20G-8-TME, effectively creating a 20G-9-TME.

Also, last but not least....one caveat: if the 20G is fitted with a 6-bladed compressor wheel as opposed to a 5-bladed compressor wheel , then you don't want to buy it in the first place(Woops, I've opened a can of worms....).

thanks for all the replys. Ive tried e-z outs, drilling, heating, pb blaster, everything. It seems that as the threads started tearing they bound up against the rest of the threads.

found a 10.5 hotside to just replace it and be done with it. all this just to add tube manifold and o2 housing. Just for looks.

have upper and lower icp and fmic, hks exhaust, cat delete, xs manifold and 02 housing, hks intake tube and filter.

What next? utec, boost controller, ems, turbo, flash
