Evo vs civic and tire question

I got into argument with friends that Civic hatchs sucks. I said it sucks because in my opinion, Civic hatch is ugly and i would rather drive evo. They dont have car but they are saying civic hatch is better and can beat my car easily. I've not seen heavily modded civics lately. Not even magazines. I see more and more s15s, wrx, s2000, and new generation of civics.
Would you drive civic hatch or evo? I would drive evo because it more sharp than civic and i prolly can pick up more chicks with my evo.

Also tire question. I read alot of complain that stock advent tire sux in snows. I'm at Alabama right now and we are having close down on the roads due to snow. I said my tire sux in rains and snows(ice) but they dont believe me. They told me its racing tire and 4 wheel drive so i would be fine.

I think they are jealous of my evo and they cant afford to buy evo.

also they think i gained hp and torque due to buy apexi cone filter. I dont think i gained, instead i think i lost it. Car makes more sound but wont accelerate faster than before.
I'm new to cars, but after hours and hours reading this forum gave me alot of knowledge about my evo. I read here everyday looking for new infos on my car.
All they talk about is their civics and how they drive etc etc. One of em said I should push my car more(I just broke in). He also said if he was driving evo, he would push rpm to 9k. I just stopped talking and said get your civic and drive that way.
I think they are like ricers. Civic with exhaust, rims, intake. Nothing to improve performance and talk like they know something or got something under the hood.
He said he would buy me neon light for my evo on my birthday(next month).....LOL sorry i dont want to be ricer. I wanna be rice burner.
I would never drive civic hatch even if it has more hp and faster than my car. Totally different store if it was new civic( I love new civic design)

Thank you for reading, So my question is
Stock tire bad or good for snow(ice)?
Would you drive civic over evo?

I have owned a civic before my evo, and to be honest imo both evo and civic are awesome cars. Depends on you preferences.....i technically still have a 99 civic si (sold to my dad and in storage) and i have convinced him not to sell it so i can buy it back soon cause i miss the performance aspects of that car. Anyway, would i drive a civic over an evo? Hell yes! I do half the time.....but i also drive my evo over the civic.
And stock advans are bad in snow from what heard.

And imo the last REAL civics are the 99-00 models.

hands down the evo, and for those advans, DO NOT drive on snow or ice with them. Search about that and you will hear about how easily people lose control in those types of conditions.

BTW, the 99 civic SI is not riced out....it is SpoonSports, mugen, buddy club equipped and with a internally stock NA motor with header, exhaust and stock airbox with spoon filter and direct flow pipe. A bunch of chassis braces, spoon wheels and a tuned suspension. It had nothing it didn't need and everthing that proved functional..

I drive a '92 Civic HB thanks... and yes, it's not a looker. That's what the Lancer is for. But I'm building the hb for 350+hp @ 16-20psi. Look at vids online about simple K-series swaps and how walk over Evos in 40+mph runs. Out of the whole, duh...Evo hands down. But I think you know what I'm getting at here!

This just proves that your friends don't know what they are talking about.

Don't you even DARE drive your stock advans in the snow. AWD will get you moving but stopping and turning are the TIRES job. Thus you simply will just overrun the advans quickly and loose control.

No Contest....definately The Evo!!! I Agree With Everyone Else-do Not Drive In The Snow With The Stock Tires. If You Are Looking For A Good All Around Tire...look Into Toyo Prxes 4. They Have Just As Good Handling Capabilities Plus They Are Considered An All Season Tire With Some Snow Capability.
